Foodies & Brew 8/4/17
Join us on Friday, August 4th in downtown Ames for Foodies & Brew – a special evening event that features local cuisine and regional craft beer sampling!
Local restaurateurs and chefs will showcase their talents by providing samples of unique food creations. Event attendees will be encouraged to visit each station and vote for the People’s Choice Award. A selection of craft beers will also be available for sampling, and each attendee will receive a souvenir glass.
WHEN: August 4th, 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm
WHO: Featuring musicians Ben Shrag & The Cautionaries, Sean Huston Combo and Evan Campbell.

Join us Saturday, September 16, 2017, in downtown Ames for the 6th Annual Main Street Oktoberfest celebration presented by First National Bank of Ames! Enjoy live polka music, dancing, great German Food, "Guten Tag" games, and much more! Under 21 must be accompanied by parent.
Beer will be sold by the glass from 1-10pm with a special craft beer sampling through tickets until 5pm.

The Snow Magic begins in November with the community Tree Lighting ceremony and holiday season kick-off events. Small Business Saturday is a promotion that reminds the community and visitors of the local benefits of shopping small.

SNOW MAGIC KICKOFF - FRIDAY, NOV. 10
Come experience the Snow Magic of the holiday season at our Downtown Businesses from 5-8 pm! Free carriage rides will take you around Downtown throughout the evening. At 6 pm, Mayor Ann Campbell will light the official Snow Magic Christmas Tree in Tom Evans Park. We will then have our official Light Up Downtown Kickoff for the stream of lights atop the Main Street buildings.
Octagon Center for the Arts will host Santa and kick off their annual Festival of Trees.

4th of July Parade 7/4/17
The 4th of July Parade presented by Duck Worth Wearing is a Main Street Cultural event. This is one of the largest events of the summer, and attracted thousands of attendees last year! What a great connection between Main Street and the city of Ames!

Firefly County Nights 7/14/17 & 9/8/17
Firefly 2017 is an event you won't want to miss! We kick things off with a Friday night show on July 14th and continues on Friday September 8th, the night before the CyHawk football game.
